Rather associate "libre" with libre resources not requiring attribution?
From Talk:Libre emblem
e.g. ShareAlike 1.0 and a proposed update, CC0, PD, ....
Seeing the libre emblem means: when appropriate I must attribute, etc. - otherwise this resource is free to adapt, mix, ... (but do check if I need to preserve freedoms in my derived work - e.g. ShareAlike as above).
Thoughts anyone?
- How strong is the association already with cc-by and cc-by-sa?
- What about the (imo) unfortunate misuses of the word? (e.g. Peter Suber's in the context of Open Access?).
