Hi Alison,

I shall inform you when we start the distance learning. How do I get the wikineighbour template on my user page? I used the syntax, but it did not come in my infobox.

Your wikineighbour, Godfred

Hi Godfred,

We use the wikineighbour template, Template:User_WikiNeighbour, to add a "WikiNeighbour" box to a page, usually a userpage. Generally speaking wikieducators add these boxes to their Template:Infobox personal.

There are a number of boxes which can be added to the infobox. To add the WikiNeighbour box, use the syntax:

|Boxes = {{User_WikiNeighbour}}

within the list of attributes included in the infobox personal template. The result is a template (wikineighbour template) within a template (infobox personal). The attributes do not need to be in any particular order, so feel free to put the boxes code at the end of the listing. Be sure to put the beginning pipe, "|", on the very left edge of the edit window.

Let me know if you have any issues with this, Alison

Hi Alison,

I have got it by following the instructions you gave. Thanks very much. Please, who are wikieducators?

Godfred.

Hi Godfred,

I am glad you were able to add the wikineighbour box to your usepage. By wikieducators, I mean all of us who are editing pages on WikiEducator. It's a term I've seen used sometimes, but I like it, particularly.

Your wikineighbour, Alison
