I agree wholeheartedly with this motive of reducing the number of face to face type of learning. However it should never replace the importance of lecturer student contact. This is still the most essential and effective method of consultation.

We are of the opinion that it all draws down to minimising costs but it not an issue for now.

The suggestion of minimising costs is very important and it is now the determining factor on how new technologies are accepted or not. In remote ares and poor countries, this sharing of resources is very much welcomed. Those that never had the opportunity to gain access to any mean of education, will find it easier to access these learning medium.

Wiki educator does help a lot, it opens up new ways of doing things, it should completement but not to take over our face to face type of learning.

How about a section on textbooks for Finance especially.

These texts should provide powerpoint presentations, lecture notes, case studies and tests. What a relief if this is offered also.

yes, i agree Vai, as lecturers, we should be there to assist students in using wikieducator for their learning...but they still need the facilitators during this learning process. their knowledge and awareness of wiki use could be utilised later in life...pass on to their children, community, etc.
