Talk:Glossary

I'm not sure I'm doing this right, as I'm just a beginner with this WikiEducator business.

  • Patricia, Many thanks for all the work you've done on the glossary. It looks great.
  • Bronwynh, I think that's a great idea, but I can't see where anything has been added.
  • Brent, I agree about the possible confusion. Since phrases such as 'Glossary', 'Overview', 'Unit 1', etc. are likely to have been used already, I have been adding the prefix CFOS to designate when creating file/page names. Although I hate acronyms, this is probably more manageable than spelling out the full title of the resource/course.

I look forward to hearing your feedback. Ed Du Vivier 11:13, 20 November 2007

I have added a glossary of terms which are presently in Facilitating elearning communities. this can added to as terms come up in the course and links from Blackboard more easily managed. --Bronwynh 05:05, 29 July 2007 (CEST)

This might be better with a different name as it might be confused as a glossary for WikiEducator rather than relevant to this particular content. Perhaps use a heirarchical name for the page instead. brent 03:26, 9 November 2007 (CET)

Creating links with terms in the text

I was wondering whether it is possible to create links whenever these terms appear in the text of the units so that clicking on the word will bring you directly to the definition in the glossary. I think that many users will be put off by the jargon and will need to refresh their memories regularly.
