PRE-REQUISITES
21F Design and Textiles Technology would be an advantage, but not essential
CONTENT
This course begins with a research assignment on a fashion designer. Students then develop a one-off solution that addresses a particular client base. This results in the production of practical components which may or may not include clothing items. A portfolio of work is produced to support the practical aspects of this course.
Each student is required to purchase/supply appropriate materials to complete the allocated units of work. This includes fabric, patterns, thread and notions.
ASSESSMENT
18 Level 3 credits are available.

$30.00 plus materials

This course aims to provide a grounding in important skills and knowledge that will prepare students for tertiary training courses and employment opportunities.
