DESIGN AND TEXTILES TECHNOLOGY 21F (Full Year) - TXT21F

PRE-REQUISITES
11F Design and Textiles Technology would be an advantage, but not essential.
CONTENT
Students complete two units of work developing a one-off solution and a conceptual design that meets the requirements of a particular need or opportunity. This results in the production of a practical component which may or may not include clothing items. A portfolio of work is produced to support the practical aspects of this course.
Each student is required to purchase/supply appropriate materials to complete the allocated units of work. This includes fabric, patterns, thread and notions.
ASSESSMENT
17 Level 2 credits are available through achievement standards – 3 externally assessed.

$30.00 plus materials
FUTURE POSSIBILITIES
This course aims to provide a grounding in important skills and knowledge that will prepare students for 31F Design and Textile Technology as well as future courses at tertiary training centres and employment opportunities.
