STATISTICS & MODELLING 301 (Full Year) - STA31F

PRE-REQUISITES
17 credits at Level 2. Must have AS 2.6 (or AS 2.14), AS 2.9
CONTENT
The course aims to extend students’ ability to tackle statistical analysis, mathematical modelling and problem solving.
ASSESSMENT
Up to 24 Level 3 credits.
Achievement Standards, both internally and externally assessed and some Unit Standards.
COST
Students must have a graphics calculator. These can be hired ($20 per year, limited numbers) or bought for $95 at the student office.
$20-$25 for a homework book
FUTURE POSSIBILITIES
This course provides excellent maths skills for those intending to study the Biological or Social Sciences, Medicine, Finance, Business, Management, or any field where the collection, analysis or interpretation of data is important.
