STATISTICS AND MODELLING 21S (2 Semesters) - STA21S/STM21S

PRE-REQUISITES
Minimum of 14 Level 1 Achievement Standard credits. Must include Merit grade in AS 1.10, AS 1.11 or AS1.12.
CONTENT
The emphasis of this course is to prepare students for Level 3 Statistics and Modelling by focussing on Statistics and Probability.
Statistical thinking and concepts are developed and placed in meaningful contexts.
ASSESSMENT
Students are offered 10 credits, using both internal and external assessment.
COST
$10.00 for revision/homework book. Students will require a graphics calculator ($20 per year - hired - numbers limited, or buy one from the school office for $95)
FUTURE POSSIBILITIES
Statistics at this level is a recommended background subject for many careers and for further study in many areas. Students may progress to STA31F or MAT31F.
