YEAR 11 STUDENTS WILL BE PLACED IN SCIENCE CLASSES ON THE BASIS OF THEIR RESULTS IN YEAR 10 AND THE PROFESSIONAL JUDGEMENT OF STAFF
CONTENT
This course is about Science and how it affects our daily lives.
Topics include:
- Two practical investigations in Physics.
- Research and reports on how carbon is recycled and what happens when we use carbon based fuels.
- Heat transfer and keeping our houses warm.
- How the New Zealand landscape was formed.
- How living things live.
ASSESSMENT
Total 24 Level 1 credits
Internal and external assessment – both apply.

(Not suitable as a pre-requisite for Physics or Chemistry 21F/31F).
