VISUAL ART - PHOTOGRAPHY 21F (Full Year) - PHO21F

PRE-REQUISITES
Maturity, enthusiasm and ability to work independently. 11F Visual Arts is strongly recommended. Access to a digital camera with aperture priority mode is required. Please see Mr Soltero in November for camera purchasing advice, if you do not already own one.
CONTENT
Photography is central to the cross-over area of Art and multi-media. This includes -
- Original art using Digital photography
- Basic camera and lighting skills
- Practical art skills
- Research on artists
ASSESSMENT
16-24 Level 2 credits possible (internal assessments)
COST
(Access to a digital camera with aperture priority mode is required. Please see Mr Soltero if you require advice on purchasing one.)
$60 includes:
- Art pack
- Group resources
- Photocopying and basic materials
NB: Supplementary materials required during the year; amount varies between students
Folio printing fee charged early Term 2.
Print credit must be maintained.
FUTURE POSSIBILITIES
Entry to 31F Photography. This course can lead to design and fine arts related industries eg Photographic, Printing, Interia, Fashion, Graphic and Web. Students considering studying Fine Arts at University must enrol in two of the following courses - 21F Art Design, 21F Art Photography, 21F Painting - see Mr Soltero for more information.
