PRE REQUISITES
Level 2 Music
CONTENT
This course is a continuation of Performance Music at Years 11 and 12.

- Aural and Listening Skills
- Harmonic and tonal analysis
- Music knowledge
(B)
Audio Engineering - This course will be focussed around training students to use recording and live PA equipment. It will consist of learning at Papanui High School and Te Koru Pou Iho Recording Studio and will be taught jointly by staff of Te Koru. Additional on the job training throughout the progression of the course may be offered. Course includes:
- set-up and operation of sound
- recording and PA equipment
ASSESSMENT
A total of 24 Level 3 credits assessed by Achievement Standards and Unit Standards. Both internal and external assessment will apply.

Tertiary study / Jazz School, University and other music related occupations.
