MUSIC 21F (Full Year) - MUS21F

PRE-REQUISITES
It is advisable that students have taken the NCEA Level 1 Performance course but if students can demonstrate high performance skills they will be considered.
CONTENT
This performance course includes:
- Solo and group performance
- Composition and Instrumentation
- Aural skills and score reading
- Musical knowledge
Audio Engineering - a strand of Audio Engineering will be offered as an alternative to performance includes set-up and operation of sound recording and PA equipment (see Music 31F for further information)
ASSESSMENT
Total 24 Level 2 credits using Achievement Standards and Unit standards.
Internal and external assessment will apply.

FUTURE POSSIBILITIES
This course leads on to NCEA Level 3 Music. Thereafter to other music courses at University or Polytechnic
