TE REO MAORI 21F (Full Year) - MAO21F

PRE-REQUISITES
At least 12 credits for Te Reo Mäori at NCEA Level 1.
CONTENT
This course aims to develop a student’s ability to communicate in te reo Mãori in familiar social situations. Students will gain increased understanding of the language and also improve their spoken and written Mãori.
ASSESSMENT
Total 22 Level 2 credits. Internal assessments for speaking, listening and crafted writing. External assessments are for reading and writing. There is recognition given to skills and knowledge at three levels of expertise ie whiwhinga - achieved, kaiaka - merit and kairangi - excellence.
