GEOGRAPHY 11F (Full Year) - GEO11F

CONTENT
Geography is the study of the environment as the home of people. It seeks to:
- Interpret the world and how it changes over time
- Explain relationships and connections between people and the environment
- Investigate features on the earth’s surface and explain the processes that produce them.
Within the 11F Geography course, you will study an extreme natural event, investigate population issues and resource sustainability, conduct geographic research, describe viewpoints and global issues and use a range of skills to interpret images and maps.
ASSESSMENT
All assessments are Achievement Standards with the opportunity to gain 12 Internal and 13 External credits.
COST - $20.00 Geographic Skills text, $20.00 for field trip
FUTURE POSSIBILITIES
Year 12 and 13 Geography and/or Year 12 and 13 Tourism. Credit in Year 11 Geography is a definite advantage for Year 12 and 13.
