GLOBALISATION 21S (Semester) - GEG21S

PRE-REQUISITES
Any student with reasonable Level 1 grades may study Globalisation at this level. Year 11 Geography is an advantage.
CONTENT
Globalisation studies reasons why the world has developed to its’ current situation. The course looks at advantages and disadvantages of living in a global society that is so inter-connected. It also considers how peoples’ actions influence society.
ASSESSMENT
All assessments are Achievement Standards with the opportunity to gain 7 Internal and 5 External credits.

FUTURE PROSPECTS
CPIT and the University of Canterbury and Lincoln (to name a few tertiary providers) have a range of courses with global themes.
