ELECTRONICS 32F (Full Year) - ELE32F

PRE-REQUISITES
Completion of Electronics 11F or 22F with teacher recommendation
CONTENT
The course is practically based with an emphasis on collaborative project work. Students will construct a major Robotics project and a minor project based around the PICAXE chip with functioning hardware and software. Alongside this, students will study the processes and means by which their projects work.
ASSESSMENT
A total of 22 internally assessed credits Level 3 will be available at Achieved, Merit and Excellence as a variety of practical work and theory.
A total of 9 Level 2 internally assessed practical credits for Year 12 students not doing ELE22F.
COST
$20.00 for basic materials and an optional $80.00 to take the robot home.
FUTURE POSSIBILITIES
Today’s society is almost wholly dependent on electronics. The Electronics industry in New Zealand produces $1 billion worth of exports each year. There is a shortage of skilled employees at all levels. This course is aimed at providing pre-employment and pre-tertiary training in this exciting and fast expanding industry
