PRE-REQUISITES
Level 1 Mathematics and Science
It is recommended that students take Level 2 Mathematics along with Electronics 201. Other course equivalents may be acceptable.
CONTENT
Electronics is a practical course designed to prepare students for further study and work in the Electronics Industry. We are accredited to offer Unit Standards which lead to the National Certificate in Electronics Technology (Level 2).
Topics include: components, circuits, measurements and calculations and construction of electronic devices using printed circuit boards.
ASSESSMENT
Total 24 Level 2 credits - all internally assessed Unit Standards
This one year course leads to the National Certificate in Technology if 16 further credits at Level 2 are obtained in two of the following subjects – Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or Computing.

FUTURE POSSIBILITIES
Unit Standards gained can be added in the future Level 3 courses. Opportunities for industry sponsored field trips (additional costs may apply).
