VISUAL ARTS 31F - DESIGN (Full Year) - ART31F
TEACHER IN CHARGE: Mr Soltero
PRE-REQUISITES
Successful completion of a 21F Art programme required. Maturity, enthusiasm, ability to work independently. (Access to a digital camera would be an advantage).
CONTENT
Develop and extend ideas in a mature body of art/design work with teacher guidance. Produce a sohisticated art/design folio that can form the basis of your submission if you wish to apply to any art/design based tertiary programme. Guidance is provided for all tertiary applications.
ASSESSMENT
16-26 Level 3 credits possible (both internal and external assessments apply).
COST
$60 includes:
- Art pack
- Group resources
- Photocopying and basic materials
NB: Supplementary materials required during the year; amount varies between students
Courier fee of $10 and folio printing fee charged early Term 2.
Students who wish to explore photography need to consult Mr Soltero in November about camera recommendations. Print credit must be maintained.
FUTURE POSSIBILITIES
Entry to all University or Polytechnic Visual Arts related courses is by portfolio submission of work. Students considering studying Fine Arts at Canterbury University must enrol in two of the following courses - 31F Art Design, 31F Art Photography, 31F Painting - see Mr Soltero for more information.
