HOSPITALITY - RESTAURANT CUISINE 32F (Full Year) - HOS32F

CONTENT
Students complete a course that will enable them to have an insight into Restaurant cuisine. Prepare and cook a range of dishes that are in fashion which would be suitable to serve in a restaurant. Students will prepare food to a hopitality standard - looking at quality food, good recipes and garnishing to produce menu style cuisine.
ASSESSMENT
Students must have the Hygiene Standard 167 to allow further assessment. This may have been achieved in previous year 12 courses. Student's gain a further 25 Level 3 credits whilst studying desserts (hot and cold), farinaceous dishes, basic meat recipes and vegetable dishes suitable for a commercial environment.

FUTURE POSSIBILITIES
Students who complete this course may choose to look for employment opportunities within the hospitality industry or further their education through tertiary providers such as CPIT, looking at chef training, bakery training etc.
