HOSPITALITY - RESTAURANT SERVICE 22S (Semester) - RES22S

PRE-REQUISITES
Background in nutrition is an advantage.
CONTENT
Complete a range of Level 2 Unit Standards from the Hospitality industry. The Units cover personal presentation, table service, waiting and serving hot and cold drinks. This course enables students to complete:
- A valid First Aid certificate
- Learn about setting and clearing tables in a range of function settings eg. Restaurants, community dinners and sports dinners
- Practical cooking menus will be completed
- Students need to be available for 3 out of school hour waiting assessment
ASSESSMENT
11 Level 2 credits are available through Hospitality Standards Institute (H.S.I) unit standards. Along with this students have the opportunity to gain a further 5 credits whilst completing their first aid certificate.
COST
$25.00 uniform,
$50.00 for ingredients
FUTURE POSSIBILITIES
In Year 13 two full year Hospitality courses are available. Students can choose to study either one or both of these courses. Full Time courses are also available at many local tertiary providers such as CPIT.
