DIGITAL TECHNOLOGY - Programming 301 - DTP301

PRE-REQUISITES
None, although success in CSSI201/CBA202 is good preparation for this course.
CONTENT
This course develops valuable computer programming skills and hardware knowledge, which are sought after in the computing industry. Programming skills will be used to solve problems and develop and refine solutions. This course caters for novice to advance. The course is broken down into the following sections:
- Project Management
- Standard diagrams
- Writing programs - using a variety of programming languages, authentic projects
- GUI - graphical user interface design
ASSESSMENT
Level 3, all Unit Standards. Students have the opportunity to work towards the National Certificate in Computing (L3). One or more Achievement Standards may be entered by suitable students.
COST
$15.00 for print credit (minimum)
FUTURE POSSIBILITIES
Tertiary study in Computer Science. Skills developed flow into many different fields, including Commerce.
