PRE-REQUISITES
Four passes in Level 2 Achievement Standards or a minimum of 14 credits in Level 2 Biology Achievement Standards.
CONTENT
Describe plant responses and animal behaviour to factors in their environment.
Describe patterns of evolution, and biological and cultural evolution of man.
Describe applications of biotechnology.
Research of a contemporary issue in Biology.
ASSESSMENT
Total 25 Level 3 credits 25 Achievement Standard credits, 11 external and 14 internal assessment.
COST
$50.00 for field trips
$30.00 for the course manual
Some PHS course specific workbooks($20.00) may be required.
FUTURE POSSIBILITIES
This course is good preparation for further study in Biology, Medicine, Health Sciences, Physical Education.
