VISUAL ARTS 301 - PAINTING - PTG301

PRE-REQUISITES
Successful completion of Year 12 Painting required. Maturity, enthusiasm, ability to work independently.
CONTENT
Year 13 Painting continues on from Year 12 with a focus on developing and extending the student’s ideas into a mature body of original work (with guidance from the teacher). As part of all Year 13 Visual Arts courses, students are assisted in applying for tertiary study.
ASSESSMENT
24 Level 3 credits possible (both internal and external assessments apply).
COST
$60 (includes access to group resources, photocopying & basic materials) Supplementary materials required during the year; amount varies between students (eg. pencils, sketchbooks, print credit).
Print credit must be maintained.
FUTURE POSSIBILITIES
As part of all Year 13 Visual Arts courses, students are assisted in applying for tertiary study. Entry to all University or Polytechnic Visual Arts related courses is by portfolio submission of class work. Students considering studying Fine Arts at Canterbury University must enrol in two of the following courses - 301 Art Design, 301 iCreate, 301 Painting - see Mr Soltero for more information.
