Aims of the activity (longer term)
- Achieve greater educational reach and outcomes through increased flexibility of the current funding envelope. (“reach” includes providing opportunities to non-traditional students; recognition of prior learning; students who aren’t and will not be in New Zealand)
Objectives of the activity (short term)
- Regional sustainability
- National promotion
Narrative description of what you will do
Document alternative models, costing analyses of where opportunities lie (who is not being reached and how they can be), establish pilots that are open for all to observe and provide guidelines for Government on the potential for new business models.
What inputs are required?
- Cross sectorial working group that is resourced to develop programme (identify opportunities and potential actions) and costing to undertake
- Funding to implement plan
- Resourcing to enable institutes to take up initiatives
