- Discuss all that you are to yourself and bring to others: ideas, values, biases, blind spots, strengths, weaknesses - to assess own attitudes. “The greatest discovery of my generation (about 1900) is that human beings can alter their lives by altering their attitudes of mind.” William James.
- Discuss in pairs of what makes you feel good about life; what stimulates you; makes you an optimist or a pessimist; your preference for crowds or solitude; your confidence or personal fears of inadequacy.
- Discuss the Wheel of Life as a view of the balance of most things in your life. Work on your thoughts and feelings regarding your strengths in each and then on your weaknesses in each and your plans to improve in each area. Write within the wheel.
- Discuss in pairs factors in the personal and other environments that can affect one’s self esteem positively as well as negatively.

Unit summary
In this unit you learned about self esteem and self image and the methods to identify and modify them. You identified feelings, emotions and attitudes and assessed their impact on your self esteem and image. Additionally, you developed a Personal Action Plan that would assist you in the accomplishment of your goals and any behavioural patters that need to be adjusted. You should be able to exhibit positive behaviour that shows self-love, praising self, positive action to others equal to or better than what you receive yourself.
