DEEPAK SRINIVASAN
Hello,I'm Deepak Srinivasan, and Im currently with a media collective called maraa. Here, we look at media tools that can then be implemented or utilised in various contexts within community space.
I'm also a theatre actor and a workshop facilitator. I have worked in amateur theatre productions in various capacities (light design to performer) independent films, student and corporate shorts in Bangalore. I also work with children in schools and communities to conduct theatre workshops and facilitate an exploration of self development through this medium of expression.
I also work with radio farishta, which is worldspace satellite radio's old hindi film songs channel. While hosting a semi research based show,I did a series on the evolving look of the actor from the 40s to the 80s, emerging "seed stories and seed films" in hindi cinema, director gharanas and their evolution. So im generally interested in the genre (not much about the pop/jazz 70s- more so the earlier decades, 50s and 60s).
