Alakal Radio Club, India
Alakal - waves in Malayalam and Tamil - is the first exclusive community radio initiative in India for fisherfolk. It has started daily three hour experimental narrowcast on 1st May 2006 at coastal radio clubs located at three fish landing centres in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. It covers people from 15 villages who come to these centres to buy and sell fish. Please visit |
