Introduction to the modules
The approach taken in the modules is intended to help you to develop your skills in assessment using an action competence model. This will involve designing authentic assessments that engage learners collectively in solving real-world problems. To do this you need to experience learning within an action competence model. Therefore, the approach will involve inquiry, co-operative, reflective and and experiential learning methods.
In line with democratic principles, you are asked to develop an individual learning plan or contract to help you explore the goals you set for yourself in this subject. It can be helpful to get another opinion when developing a Learning contract. This might be a facilitator in this course or a colleague. As you access the suggested activities and materials in each module, you are encouraged to interact with the wider group, and contribute to the learning community.
