201 Chemistry/Intro to Chemistry

The study of Chemistry is the study of 'matter'. In this course you will look at the nature of structure and bonding in different substances, you will describe oxidation and reduction reactions, you will describe thermochemical and equilibrium principles and you will be able to describe the structural formulae and reactions of selected organic compounds.

Outcomes

By the end of this 'Introduction lesson' students will:

  • Be able to login to "Moodle" and find their way through the Chemistry 201 topics
  • Be able to click on a web link and complete a web based activity
  • Be able to complete an assignment and quiz on-line and check your marks in a gradebook
