Introduction
Hello Friends, I am Vanita , living in Delhi for past 31 years. I am a Teacher educator and Researcher and love to be a part of wiki family in honing editing skills and hope to see it as a platform for sharing content and experience with wiki community.

Professional background
Presently, Iam working as an Asst. Professor at Institute of Home Economics, Delhi University, Delhi in the Department of Elementary Education since October 2011.Before that I have experience of approximately 3 years teaching B.ed students in the affiliated coLLeges of GGSIP university like P.M.C.C.E, Trinity Institute of Higher Education and Gitarattan Institute of Advanced Studies and Training. Iam also pursuing P.hD (Education) from GGSIP University under the supervision of Prof. Ranjana Bhatia. I have keen interest in attending seminars, workshops and presented papers in numerous National and International Conferences in Delhi and outside Delhi. I have various papers published in the journals of National and International repute.Iam also a member of numerous research associations and libraries of repute.I have a keen interest in co-curricular activities and have been the co-ordinator for the cultural committee and literary and debating committee at the school and college level. I have attended numerous webinars related to teaching language and will be pursuing an online scholorship programme in formative and summative assessment in language learning and teaching from the University of Oregon from the Regional English Language office of the U.S Embassy, New Delhi. I have also taught the students of B.A ( Programme) Course B, school of open learning at Kalindi College as a guest lecturer.

I have done my M.A ( English) from Jamia Millia Islamia, M.ED from M.D University, C.R COllege of Education, Rohtak, NET ( Education), M.Phil (Education) from Madurai Kamraj University.
My interests
Professional
I am keenly interested in attending workshops related to English language teaching and Language Learning and keep on organizing such workshops for my students and encourage them to use web based tools to make teaching and learning an interesting and effective.
I always encourage my students for out of the box thinking and questioning, as I feel reader response perspective is a key for proper expression whether oral or in written form.
Personal
I love to pen down my thoughts by maintaining a diary, love reading books, dancing, listening to songs and social networking.

I love sunflowers as by looking at this God's wondeful creation Iam always motivated to keep smiling and spreading positive vibrations wherever I go. But here, there is a difference , as when sun sets, sunflower also dips down, but I always keep up with any circumstance that occurs knowingly or unknowingly. But I feel gifts of nature always inspire me in some way or the other.
