My name is Tom O. Ouko. I am an author at a wikieducator workshop,MMUST, November 5-7, 2008

My family

I am a Kenyan, married with three children- two boys and one girl.

My professional background

I teach at Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology (MMUST) in the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication.

Prior to joining MMUST I worked as an Editor at Moi University, Kenya for over ten years (1996 to 2007). I also worked with Kenya Literature Bureau for over seven years. Kenya Literature Bureau is one of the leading textbook publishers in Kenya.

As an editor:

• Scout for authors
• Work with authors to develop pubshable manuscripts
• Prepare copy upto pre-press
• Liaise with printers

As a lecturer:

• Teach\lecture
• Supervision of students
• Examination
• Research
