Poetry has been around since men could comprehend and portray their inner feelings with other individuals. Great philoshopher's like Gaudin, Shakespeare, Tindell etc have exlpored in the demured world of poetry.
My input in this topic is the critical use of poetry as a formal way of improving the level of english proficiency in Namibia. Poetry enhances the mind through imagination, it introduces the student to earlier forms of punctuation and written old english in the earlier Victorian age, this was the time when the likes of Shakespeare ruffled and awed their audiences with beautiful plays, sonnets and poems.
