Professor Asha Kanwar, President and Chief Executive Officer
The Commonwealth of Learning was instrumental in collaborating with UNESCO in fostering government awareness in open educational resources (OER) leading to the signing of the UNESCO 2012 Paris OER Declaration.
New Zealand is a major donor of the Commonwealth of Learning, and as such is represented on the Board of Governors. Dr. Linda Sissons, CEO of the Wellington Institute of Technology, serves as New Zealand's appointed representative. Linda is Deputy Chair of the COL Board of Governors.
