Motion Text
In the absence of any “burning” motions/discussions, I move for the adjournment of this meeting. If we adjourn the meeting now, it will pave the way for a new meeting – the First Meeting of the FULL WikiEducator Council. --Victor P. K. Mensah 19:24, 28 November 2008 (UTC)
Ammended Motion to replace original
In the absence of any “burning” motions/discussions, I move for the adjournment of this meeting. If we adjourn the meeting now, it will pave the way for a new meeting – the First Meeting of the FULL WikiEducator Council. This Motion will take effect after a Chair for the next meeting has been elected. --Victor P. K. Mensah 19:24, 28 November 2008 (UTC)

Discussion
I agree, although as we adjourn we should decide who will chair the next meeting, one where I hope permanent officers will be elected. Someone other than me should do this, and would entertain a motion to amend this one that nominates a chair for the subsequent meeting. --SteveFoerster 22:48, 28 November 2008 (UTC)
- Yes -- From a practical perspective, it may be better to have an separate motion for nominating a chair to call the next meeting and oversee the election of permanent officers at the next meeting. I'll propose an amendment to this adjournment motion pending the successful nomination of a chair for the next meeting. --Wayne Mackintosh 17:12, 30 November 2008 (UTC)
- I don't see why a motion to nominate a chair pro tem for the next meeting couldn't just be an amendment to this motion. Go for it! -- SteveFoerster 15:38, 8 December 2008 (UTC)
