Digital World Forum on Accessible and Inclusive ICT
OVF is a partner in the launch of a new consortium/ project called DigitalWorld Forum (DWF). This consortium is designed to promote the mass dissemination of affordable, state of the art Information and Communications Technologies (ICT) in emerging markets. Through this collaborative approach stakeholders will build credible, bottom-up oriented cooperation roadmaps in the field of ICT research. Participants by exchanging research on best practices and success stories will create development-related ICT research roadmaps. The goal of these efforts is towards real world practical implementation to maximize the potential of ICT to improve lives and improve the quality of people’s lives in emerging markets. DWF is a FP7 European Union project that focuses on the use of ICT to leverage economic development in Africa and Latin America. The DigitalWorld Forum is financed in part by the European Commission’s Seventh Framework Programme.
