Three Ways to Remotely Program a Robot

https://learn.birdbraintechnologies.com/remote-robots/three-ways-remote-robots/

https://dofreality.com/faq/

We have SDK/API to send telemetry data or motion commands from Unity3D, Unreal or other software such as Python script to SimRacingStudio (software we use to operate motion platforms) https://gitlab.com/simracingstudio/srsapi It should be easy and faster approach.

Yes, in Unity3D and others there is a library to send data directly to Arduino (that our controller is based on) over serial. Alternately, SimRacingStudio SDK can be used. There shouldn’t be a problem sending your telemetry data from Unity3D to SRS, so it can set the platform position accordingly. https://gitlab.com/simracingstudio/srsapi

2021.11.10 Going through my notes from yesterday, the next step is setting up a way to exchange information and feedback with the teachers. Can you set this up?

I will have the first couple of “to go boxes” ready for next week. Is there a place where they can be kept and be accessible?

The first projects are Measurement, the Spoons and Sticks, and Flight. I will put the information about each on lectriclibrary.org - teachers can add comments so this would be one way to track feedback as teachers use the projects.

Do you have or can you recommend 2-3 books that we can use as an exploration starter?

This is where teacher collaboration kicks in. What do they have in mind, either as topics/themes or specific projects? I can suggest some others. It is much better to work with teachers to put together projects that they can connect with other class work. It sounded like they already had some ideas. How can we get this going?

Thanks for your help.

spatial visualization

2021.10 spatial visualization . . Spatial visualization (SV) is the ability to think in 3D. Did you know that up to 60% of students in STEM programs have weak SV skills? This skills gap can lead to difficulty in engineering, technology, and science classes which require proficiency with 3D thinking. Thankfully, studies have shown that SV skills are teachable and improve student outcomes in STEM fields. SV training is especially beneficial for women and other underrepresented populations that may have had less experience in playing with building toys as children and find themselves at a disadvantage when entering STEM fields. . Sketching 2D and 3D shapes is the recommended approach to improving SV skills. Sketching is also important for creativity, project-based learning, and teamwork. https://home.edweb.net/webinar/stem20211109/
