2019.10.17 after chatting with Jennifer about ELA class * Logan : Can this work with the AR solution as you are envisioning / developing it? * Classroom AR - for ELA class reading Esperanza Rising https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Esperanza_Rising Kids have no idea what the setting for the story would be like. Something like this would be really interesting to these middle school kids. * Augmented reality - how about some mashup of google maps, google earth, street view and historical images * https://www.google.com/search?q=california+central+valley+1930s&client=firefox-b-1-d&sxsrf=ACYBGNR0w9TMzbt8rdG9zGzYv1khLtl6Ng:1571319052204&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwjUw73Ps6PlAhXBJt8KHUXzAXQQ_AUIESgB&biw=1286&bih=684 Reality / Augmentation

2019.10.14 Logan * Great chatting with you today. I share your enthusiasm for the potential of AR to do some amazing things. I was thinking of this article when we were talking about applications of your AR technology. https://www.brck.com/2018/10/reflecting-on-5-years-of-brck/ If you have the "right question", your solution can address all the applications we talked about. There is a balance between being specific so it is obvious that the solution fits, and broad enough so you get scale. I'll be seeing the folks at the K-8 science and technology charter school in the next few days. They may have some specific ideas for how AR would be interesting and useful. 2019.9.26 intro meeting with Fumiko * * BRCK “How do we get the rest of Africa online?” * by 2016 we started to have more smartphones imported into Africa than non-smartphones. * among all the smartphone owners in a country: 20% could afford to pay for the internet regularly, and an incredible 80% couldn’t. * powerful and enterprise-level router, but a tool that was actually a highly ruggedized micro-data center. * We charge businesses for some form of digital engagement on our Moja platform (app downloads, surveys, or content caching), and the free internet to our consumers is a by-product of this b2b business model.

  • First, make sure it’s a big enough problem.
  • education with our Kio Kit, which we still think is one of the best (if not the best) holistic solutions for emerging market schools – too costly for our bottom line to hold inventory, sales cycles are too long, and it was largely a product sale.
  • suggestion for online discussion

online / off-line discussions - article / scenario - What similarities / difference to what you are doing? Lessons learned that will help you? New questions for you? Does this alter you planning timeframe? What is your "right question"? What is your "big problem"? Can you reframe your problem as a bigger problem like BRCK does in the article? What questions does it raise for you about your own work?
