This is an interesting lecture and it's nice to see it. it's on YouTube.
  • http://education.podcast.com/episode/19236933/54848/ A podcast of Professor Leon Letterman about '21st Century Education'. His 3 major points in this podcasts about education are: 1. Change is inevitable 2. Complete coverage of any subject is impossible 3. Obsolesce is impossible. He goes on in his lecture to discuss these issues in a more in depth manor. This podcast is a bit on the long side (46:18 mins.), but very interesting none the less to listen to his ideas and theories if you have the time.

It provides great information about the evolution of film-making and how it has transformed. It talks about the techniques that great filmmakers in the past have utilized and how they are still found today, but it even goes in detail to talk about how new innovations are still made. I especially recommend this movie because it uses great use of audios and visuals to reiterate points.

Soon google will scan millions of books from library that will be available for students on their phones or anywhere online.   • Here they are talking about the future fo media in childrens education a focus on tweens, is what it's called. They discuss the benefits and effects of media in children and how children use it.   • This is a GE class, and people may be taking this and be interested in computer science but unsure whether to pursue software engineering, or something else related to computers, or a different career altogether. An introduction to SE might help. This is a great positive attitude on computers besides the bad things that computers can cause us it shows us how much they help us. It also provides different links to do an extent research on computer articles. ..LG

The page has very specific instructions about how to use the podcasts. I listened to some to see if they could be helpful in this course, and I found that they could add a lot of discussions about technological advancement in the medical field. I know one group did a project on medical technology, and I think that these podcasts could enhance that work. Some even teach some of the new technology. ..MH

The program also discusses expanding to other countries and using technology to share information and spread education throughout many foreign schools and raise awareness for educational programs.

I think it related to this course because even though we use Catalyst to work together and work on our education, the same type of technology can be used to educate others and help teachers network around different countries to help others get the same opportunities that we do. ..LS
