my name is Thomas Pfeffer. As a higher education researcher I do comparative studies on universities and the way research and education is organised. My main interests are the internationalisation and virtualisation of universities, and the effects of these two trends on higher education institutions. The evolution of Open Educational Resources is a prominent example of an effect that clearly results from both these developments. Our cooperation here in this L4C-seminar is another example that would not be possible without international cooperation on the basis of new information and communication technologies (ICT).
However, I am not only interested in describing the past and the present, but I also try to conceptualise new approaches for the future of research and higher education, and to get involved in activities which contribute to the idea of global public goods. This is another reason, why I participate in the L4C-seminar.
(: Dear Thomas-- welcome to WE -- I am very impressed with your work done here. I have made a few comments for you below (in green), which you can delete after reading. Thanks --Markos Awdalla)
