MY PROFILE
My name is Teresa Pahulu. I am from the island Kingdom of Tonga in the South Seas. I have six lovely kids and a wonderfully, very handsome husband. I live in the main town, Nuku'alofa and attends the Nuku'alofa Seventhday Adventist Church.
MY INTERESTS
I am currently working in the Curriculum Development Unit in Tonga as Deputy Principal Education Officer. My main interest is in the improvement of education in our island. I have been teaching for over a decade the Form 7 Chemistry and Mathematics with Statistics. We at the Curriculum Unit are now reviewing our Science and Mathematics Curriculum for Year 1 to 8. Its a fascinating job and also of utmost importance for the future education of Tonga. The future economic development of our country is largely dependent on education. We therefore need to give quality education for ALL with a clear focus on the outcomes - that young Tongans - will be able to survive and achieve sustainable livelihood. Personal hobbies involved baking cakes, reading Jane Austen, picnicking in the outer islands, and most importantly, being with my family.
