I am Rodrick Ndomba, a lecturer in Foreign languages, linguistics and literature [plus comunication skills] unit at DUCE, a constituent of the University of Dar es Salaam (UDSM).

I specialize in theoretical and descriptive linguistics, others call it 'pure' linguistics. To be more specific I am so much concerned with issues of description of Bantu languages - that is Bantu linguistics.

In teaching, I am involved in teaching a number of courses ranging from linguistics and English through literature and communication skills offered at UDSM and its constituent colleges - DUCE and MUCE. Some of these courses include introduction to linguistic structure, social and biological aspects of language, English Dialects, and professional communication to mention some.

Currently I am doing study of sound symbolism in Bantu languages and a study on word order typology in Bantu nominals, the work which shall provide insights on internal structure of noun phrases.
