Department of Fisheries and Oceans

  • Strengthen relationships and information flow between NHQ and the Regions, and the Regions and NHQ - to build goodwill and achieve program / project outcomes;
  • Support NOMC in effectively collaborating from coast-to-coast-to-coast;
  • Engage stakeholders to develop and share content, aligned to DFO's strategic direction, goals and vision;
  • Develop a collaborative platform to test, measure and evaluate innovative ideas and approaches; share good practices; develop and update key documents; and work together on opportunities for policy discussion and action;
  • Identify and prioritize opportunities for specific project implementation (including pilot projects), aligned to DFO and stakeholders' strategic directions;
  • Identify opportunities for learning, knowledge-sharing and research as a community, and leverage it within DFO and related communities;
  • Communicate and report successes within NOMC, DFO, cross-departmentally and internationally
