My name is Lency W. Hiroshachi. I was born on 24th December 1963 in a local leaf hut in the bush of North Malaita. I am now fourty-five years old and still physically fit.My home village is Rameai where christianity has changed a lot of headhunting clans.
I attended Primary School in my home village from 1968-1970 that is Standard 1 to Standard 4. Since there was no Standard five at home I have to transfer to school near Auki Town. I did Standard 5-7 at Fote Senior Primary School. From there I was fortunate to secure a palce in a seconday school. So I was enrolled at Su'u National Secondary School from 1975-1979. After completing my secondary education I was again fortunate to secure a place at the Teachers' College of Solomon Islands from 1980-1981.
After graduating I was sent to the Temotu Province in the East to do my probationery year. I spent three years there. At the end of the term I was transfered to Gizo as Head Teacher in the Western Province. So I was a school teacher for sixteen years. During those years I have gained a lot of experience with working together with very young children. I have learnt a lot about how a child is developed.
Other additional educational qualification was that I have also graduated with a Diploma in Educational Administration with the University of the South Pacific.
Finally my hobby is Photography. I have completed a course with the New York Institute of Professional Photography and was awarded with a Certificate in Professional Photography.
