My profile
Kia ora! I'm Keryn, a born and bred kiwi. I use wikis in my professional life, but have always used the 'push a button and see what happens' approach, so wanted to try something a bit more structured :-)
Professional background
I have a PhD in psychology (in which I explore the social, cognitive and linguistic origins of autobiographical memory) and since graduation have been working for the College of Education at the University of Otago.
Education
- Milton Primary School
- Lumsden Primary School
- Northern Southland College
- University of Otago
My interests
Professional
I teach and research in the areas of quantitative research methods and information and communication technologies (ICT) in education. My research areas fall into three broad categories:
- Distance education in secondary and tertiary institutions
- Use of ICT in schools and universities
- Social and psychological effects of using ICT
Journals I am involved with
Personal
I have many interests, but currently it doesn't feel like I have time to do any of them. However, I do manage to spend time reading (most kinds of novels)
My wiki projects
- I registered for eL4C41, a Learning4Content workshop to learn wiki skills.
