MASINDE MULIRO UNIVERSITY OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY

IS THE SEVENTH PUBLIC UNIVERSITY IN KENYA. IT SPECIALIZES IN SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY DISCIPLINES WITH AN INTERDISCIPLINARY EMPHASIS. IT COMPRISES FIVE FACULTIES:

1. FACULTY OF ENGINEERING 2. FACULTY OF science 3. Faculty of Education and Social Sciences 4. Center for Disastor Management and Humanitarian Assistance.

The university has been in existance for the last 5 years. The student population has increased tremendously from the initial 120 to over 4000.

FACULTY AND NONTEACHING STAFF

Faculty and non teaching staff numbers have similarly grown to march the rising numbers of students. Currently, the university is in the process of identifying satellite campuses so as to create more learning space.

however, this process may take long due to legal and financial implications

therefore, to speed up this process, the necessary mechanisms are to be put in place
