Dr. Ishteyaaq Ahmad is an Associate Professor with more than two decades of experience in higher education. He holds a Ph.D. in Computer Applications, specializing in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML). Dr. Ahmad has made significant contributions to the field of educational technology, focusing on the application of AI and ML in online education and student feedback analysis. His research includes developing Artificial Neural Network models for sentiment analysis of student feedback on MOOCs, and Artificial Neural Network Predictive models for MOOC dropout prediction.
Previously, Dr. Ahmad was recognized as a Young Scientist by the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India, under the SYSP scheme. He was awarded a research grant for his project, "Intelligent System for Tourism Industry," highlighting his commitment to innovative research.
Throughout his career, Dr. Ahmad has published extensively in renowned SCI and SCOPUS-indexed journals and conferences globally. His expertise includes AI ethics, educational technology, and the broader implications of AI in society. His course on SWAYAM, a MOOC platform by the Ministry of Education, Government of India, was rated among the Top 100 free courses of all time by ClassCentral. He has also developed Open Educational Resources for the Commonwealth of Learning (COL), promoting access to quality education worldwide.
Dr. Ahmad has served as a resource person at various prestigious institutions, including NCERT and SCERT Uttarakhand, contributing to teacher development and capacity-building initiatives. He has been featured in leading national dailies such as The Hindu, Hindustan Times, and The Economic Times, for his views on education.
