Name
My mother named me Badelisile. It has a very interesting history about my family, and i will tell you another day about this facinating history. I have four children and am happily married.
Job
I work as a curriculum developer at a national institution called the National Curriculum Centre (NCC) which is a department in the Ministry of Education I am happy to have joined the wikieducator group because as a curriculum developer, you cannot afford to be an island. It is always good to have someone give you feedback on what you have produced. Lifeskills is an integral part of the content for which I am responsible for. I am looking forward to collaborating with other educators. I am sure I have a lot to learn and hope that I can contribute to the group as well. This training will help me in building capacity in my country and curriculum institute in particular.

My Passion
I just enjoy doing things with my hands. I am particularly passionate about growing plants from seeds and from cuttings. There is nothing more satisfying than putting a seed in a conducive environment, watering it and watching it grow. The same applies with cuttings from trees, shrubs and flowers. This content can be accessed from a curriculum strand called Ornamental Horticulture and Landscaping.

- crop production,
- small animals (rabbits, goats pigs, sheep etc),
- api-culture,

Programme Goals
The students and parents like this programme very much because it caters for students of all ability ranges. The goals of the programme are to:
- it caters for students who may want to continue further training,or
- go into gainful employment or
- go the self-employment route.
The programme was developed because Swaziland is experiencing many problems: a very high unemployment rate, whose school leavers also lack critical employable skills for the labour market.
Ownership
This content, which is practical in nature, (curriculum materials) are developed and coordinated by my office, at the National Curriculum Centre, for secondary schools.
