Instructions for Uploading Photos

PRINT OUT THESE INSTRUCTIONS PLEASE

1. Save your photo in jpg format to your hard drive - make sure to give it a unique name, and include a number with it. (300-500 px)
2. Log into WikiEducator
3. Go to the page you want to put the image in
4. Click "Edit"
5. Put your cursor into the Editing Box / Window, and click the little Image Syntax button - 6th from the right (after the big "A)"
6. Click the "Insert Image" icon - it will create syntax for adding an image.
7. Replace the word "Example.jpg" with the name of your image i.e., NSGA_media picture1, or whatever
8. Click "Save"
9. Now, you will see a link for your image highlighted in "RED" - the "red" means that there is nothing in the page right now, but you will change that.
10. Click on the link, and it will open up another box - asking you to upload / browse to your image on your hard drive.... Upload your image, and click 'Save"
11. The image will upload to the location that was 'red' - and now become BLUE.

After Uploading Your Image to the Link

1. Once the photo is uploaded, you can change the size, the positioning, the caption, etc.
2. Please ask your WikiNeighbour for some help, and s/he will make changes, and you can see them reflected in the WikiAdmin email....showing you the changes in the syntax.
