about me

My name is Arina Yoffe, I was born on 15.12.90 in Uzbekistan. I came to Israel when I was 4 years old. I don't have simblings and because of that I was a spoiled kid. When I was 6 years old I started to dance. A few years after this I also started to take piano lwssons, but after 4 years of teaching I understood that I don't like it anymore, and I stoped.

Recycling it is very important today. Recycling involves processing used materials into new products in order to prevent waste of potentially useful materials. It reduces the consumption of fresh raw materials, reduces energy usage, reduces air pollution and water pollution.

Recyclable materials include many kinds of paper, plastic, metal and other things. In a strict sense, recycling of material produces a fresh supply of the same material. For example; office paper to more office paper, or used foamed polystyrene to more polystyrene. However, this is often difficult or too expensive, so "recycling" of many products or materials involves their reusing or producing different materials instead.

In conclusion, there are many forms of recycling, but they all have the same purpose, to save the atmosphere, to save money, and to save different materials.

My room at its worst

Many times all of us do not organize our rooms, because we are too lazy and the room stays messy and not beautiful. Also many times when our mom tells as to clean up our rooms, we just tell her "OK, just a minute", but we are not really going to do it.

In my case, there are many times when my room looks bad, only because I don't have the strength and patience to clean it up. If you ask me when my room is at its worst, I will tell you that everywhere in my room you can see clothes all over, many different papers on the table, and if you open the closet all the things inside will fall out. There were many times that my room was in a situation like that, until my mom came and organized my room, or when I became annoyed of such a messy room and organized and cleaned up everything myself.

In conclusion, we are all lazy sometimes, but If we don't want to get a messy room, we need to be organized all the time.

Nice work, but don't forget to add a verb to each sentence, Arina. --Nellie Deutsch 13:13, 4 February 2009 (UTC)

My reaserch question is "How the dance influence our health"?

I chose this reaserch question because the thing that I love the most is to dance, and haelth is the most important thing for any person. The steps for my work were first off all to tell about dance from what I know from my self and my experience whith dance. For secend step I chose to tell what is dance at all, tell a little bit abouut history of dance and also to tell about many kinds of sports that based from dance.

Research process and the findings

I chose to start the process with myself, which means to see if it is really true that when I go to my dance studio my health it's better than when I do not do any kind of sport at all. I checked this and I saw that it really helps to feel better when you dance, in a healthy way and also in the way that it gives me a good feeling, but also I saw in the past that in periods of appearances and too many revisions, I got problems with my breathing, so I understood that it's good to dance, but when it causes you problems, you should know the limit and not exaggerate. Dance causes the metabolism to go faster and our bodies to move much better.

Health is also related to our souls. I chose to check how dance can influence people spiritual situation, and I saw that it depends on whether the person likes to dance or not. For example I saw that person who hates dancing feel horrible when he danced, but if the person liked it and as a hobby, it made him feel good and his inner self improved with dancing. It was the same with me. When, for example, I argued with someone and I wanted to relax, dance helped me to feel much better.

What is Dance?

Dance is an art form that generally refers to movement of the body, usually rhythmic and to music, used as a form of expression, social interaction or presented in a spiritual or performance setting.

Dance is also used to describe methods of non verbal communication between humans or animals (bee dance, patterns of behaviour such as a matting dance). In sports gymnastics, figure skating and synchronized swimming are dance disciplines while martial arts kata are often compared to dances. Definitions of what constitutes dance depend on social, cultural ,aesthetic ,artistic and moral constraints and range from functional movement to virtuoso techniques such as ballet. Dance can be participatory, social or performed for an audience. It can also be ceremonial, competitive or erotic. Dance movements may be without significance in themselves, such as in ballet or European folk dance, or have a gestural vocabulary system as in many Asian dances. Dance can embody or express ideas, emotions or tell a story. Every dance, no matter what style, has something in common. It not only involves flexibility and body movement, but also physics.

Origins and history of dance

The history of dance has no clear beginning point. Dance does not leave behind clearly identifiable physical artifacts such as stone tools, hunting implements or cave paintings. It is not possible to say when dance became part of human culture. Dance has certainly been an important part of ceremony, rituals, celebrations and entertainment since before the birth of the earliest human civilizations.

One of the earliest structured uses of dances may have been in the performance and in the telling of myths. It was also sometimes used to show feelings for one of the opposite gender. It is also linked to the origin of "love making." Before the production of written languages, dance was one of the methods of passing these stories down from generation to generation.

  • Summary of your work on the topic

The process of working on the project was interesting because my reaserch quation is about thing that I love the mose, and because of that it was experience to me to do this project. also there were things that I didn't liked so much because they were diffucult to me, For wxample : to do the survey was difficult to me and also I think that it was unnecessary to ask many people opinions for project that belongs to me and to my opinion.

I chose the invention of electricity, because I think that it is the most important thing that serves us every single day of our lives. When we are at home, we need electricity for almost every thing we need or want to do, for example: to watch T.V , use the computer, and so on.

Animal Earthquake Theory:

The idea that animals can sense earthquakes is old. In ancient Greece, rats, weasels, snakes, and centipedes moved to safety several days before a destructive earthquake . In recent years, earthquake prediction based on the behavior of animals was used in China and Japan, but scientists are still skeptical.

For many years the theory was studied in south San Francisco Bay area that when an extraordinarily large number of dogs and cats are reported in the "Lost and Found" section of the San Jose Mercury News. Studies based on "lost and found" ads in the San Jose Mercury News, do not show that animals can predict earthquakes. The purpose of the study is to show whether there is a connecting between lost and found pets and earthquakes.
