Subject Description

Learn in depth about the actions and the role of the UN, for subject XXXXXXX at the University of Wollongong.

This subject:

  • Explores the historical and contemporary practices of the UN system across several of these key international challenges
  • Utilises a range of topical case studies to examine the role of diplomacy and other tools in managing issues of global governance and promoting global citizenship
  • Considers alternative channels of multilateral governance and diplomacy
  • Examines the key challenges faced by the UN today, and proposals for reform of the UN system ​


This subject is part of a Graduate Certificate of Global Citizenship.

Subject delivery will be fully online to non-UOW students. face-to-face delivery is available for UOW enrolled students.

Overview of the delivery model

The subject will be delivered as a stand-alone short (4 week) online course, in a fully online version.

The subject will be offered in parallel with a local, campus-based cohort, which will work at a slower, university-term pace (13 weeks).

Online project-based work - delivered online

Validating student identity - Sype interview with photo ID held up.
